The Academy of English Language is Australia’s largest and most reputable provider of preparation programs for the University of Cambridge Examinations in English. Cambridge Examination Certificates are internationally recognised English Language qualifications, and are highly valued by employers in many countries.
The Academy has been offering a full range of highly intensive and motivating examination preparation programs for many years, with superior examination results. Among the expert teaching staff are a number of Cambridge examiners who teach on the programs and give individual feedback and advice to students throughout the program. With a maximum class size of 12 students, this highly-focused and challenging program provides comprehensive study of all the skills required to pass the examinations. Emphasis is placed on speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and practice examinations. Extensive self-access materials are also available for each examination, and teachers advise students individually on their personalised study program.
The aim of the course is to enable students to achieve their greatest potential. A three-day intensive study retreat, in a spectacular bush-land setting is one of the highlights of this course.

- CAE: Certificate in Advanced English (Advanced level)
- CPE: Certificate of Proficiency in English (High Advanced level)

Maximise your English progress with this intensive 9-month WLE study experience. Prepare for the Cambridge FCE + CAE, with 3 months of General English in between.
Learn to surf at one of Sydney’s bestknown
surf beaches. Our English Plus programs give you the opportunity to improve your English and your sporting ability at the same time. The program package includes English lessons as well as all necessary materials and equipment during lesson times. Minimum age is 16 years. The English Plus programs run from September to March.

Learn to surf on some of Australia's best beaches. Learn how to surf with a professional surfing instructor and surf board hire. Discuss surfing techniques and surf competitions with Australian surfers. Learn to talk about first aid, weather, beach and ocean conditions. Surfing lessons cater for all levels from beginners to advanced surfers. WLE's study & surf programs will help you speak and surf like an Aussie! There is no better way to appreciate Australia.
