TAFE NSW offers over 250 courses to international students. Our aim is to ensure all students are "job ready" when they complete their course. Many students use our courses as a pathway to a university degree. TAFE NSW has 11 Institutes, 130 colleges and over 500,000 student enrolments.
You can decide on a lifestyle and study setting that suits you by choosing a TAFE college either in Sydney or regional New South Wales.

Courses for 2004
Students enrol in February or July for most courses. You will need to confirm your particular course intake with the International Students Centre.
TAFE NSW Certificate and Diploma courses:
- Are approved by industry and endorsed with a Government guarantee
- Ensure students are "job ready" when they complete their course
- Are well regarded by employers in Australia and in many other countries
- Used by students as a pathway to University
TAFE NSW courses and duration:
- Certificates (Levels 2 to 4) take 6 months (1 semester) to 1½ years (3 semesters)
- Graduate Certificates take 6 months (1 semester)
- Diplomas take 1 year (2 semesters) to 2 years (4 semesters)
- Advanced Diplomas take 2 years to 3 years (6 semesters)

Students who successfully complete the English for Academic Purposes program, and who meet the academic entry requirements, are able to gain direct entry into the course of their choice without taking the IELTS or TOEFL test.
